From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
  • Take Exit 326 (Philadelphia/Valley Forge).
  • Follow I-76 East (Schuylkill Expy.) approximately 18 miles to Exit 344 (Central Philadelphia/I-676). (Note: exit is on left.)
  • Follow I-676 approximately one mile to Central Phila./Broad Street exit. Take Broad Street exit (as you exit, stay to the left).
  • After one block, go left onto Broad Street.
  • Follow Broad Street to Norris Street (approximately two miles).
  • Turn left onto Norris Street and left again onto 15th Street.
  • Visitor Parking Lot 1 entrance is on the left. You also may park in the Liacouras Center Parking Garage located at 15th Street and Montgomery Avenue, or in the Visitor Parking Lot located on Montgomery Avenue between 12th and 13th streets.
From the Northeast Extension Pennsylvania Turnpike
  • Take Exit 20 to I-476 South to I-76. Exit at I-76 East (approximately 5 miles).
  • Take I-76 East approximately 15 miles to Exit 344 (Central Philadelphia/I-676). (Note: exit is on left.) Follow directions from I-676 above.
From I-95 North
  • Take Exit 22 (Central Philadelphia/I-676).
  • Follow Central Philadelphia signs and take the Broad Street exit.
  • At the next intersection (Vine Street), turn left. In one block, turn left onto Broad Street.
  • Follow Broad Street to Norris Street (approximately 2 miles).
  • Turn left onto Norris Street and left again onto 15th Street.
  • Visitor Parking Lot 1 entrance is on the left. You also may park at the Liacouras Center Parking Garage located at 15th Street and Montgomery Avenue, or the Visitor Parking Lot located on Montgomery Avenue, between 12th and 13th streets.
From I-95 South
  • Take Exit 22 (Central Philadelphia/I-676). (Note: exit is on left.)
  • Follow I-676 West to Broad Street exit.
  • Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike directions above from Broad Street exit.
From the New Jersey Turnpike
  • Take Exit 4 to Route 73 North, follow approximately one mile to Route 38 West.
  • Follow for 5 1/2 miles to Benjamin Franklin Bridge.
  • Take I-676 West to the Broad Street exit.
  • Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike directions above from the Broad Street exit.

Parking

Temple has many options for parking garages and lots for visitors to Main Campus. See information about how and where to park so you can plan your trip accordingly. 

Transportation

There are many routes to get to campus using SEPTA, Philadelphia’s public transportation system, and PATCO, a rapid transit route that runs between Philadelphia and Camden County, New Jersey.

Broad Street Line (BSL) subway

All local Broad Street subway trains stop at Cecil B. Moore Station, at the intersection of Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Buses

The 4 and 16 buses stop on Broad Street at Cecil B. Moore Avenue, Montgomery Avenue, Polett Walk and Norris Street. The 23 bus stops on 12th Street (southbound) and 11th Street (northbound) at Polett Walk, Montgomery Avenue and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Regional Rail

All regional rail lines stop at Temple University Station, located at 10th and Berks streets.

PATCO

Take the PATCO High Speed Line west to 12th/13th Walnut Street Station and connect with SEPTA via the Broad Street Subway at Walnut-Locust Station. Continue north to Main Campus (Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue) or south to Lincoln Financial Field (Broad Street and Pattison Avenue).
